熱く評する佐川急便ドライバーの「公式ファンブック」とも言える写真集
『佐川男子』が発売され、好調な売れ行きを見せています。
A columnist Matsuko Deluxe highly values Sagawa Express
delivery personnel calling them “artistic carriers
”. A photo collection of “Sagawa-danshi”（Sagawa-guys）,
you might call it “a public book for fans”,
was published and is enjoying brisk sales.
これは出版社内で交わされた「佐川急便のドライバーがとても
感じがよくて素敵！」というお喋りから生まれたもの。
アメリカでは宅配業者や軍人など「制服を着た働く男性」の
カレンダーが売れていることから、
「日本でも本にしたら売れるのでは？」との思惑が当たったようです。
This collection was inspired by a comment in a publisher's
office saying “Sagawa guys are nice and charming.
” Since calendars of guys in uniform such as delivery
and military personnel make great sales in the U.S.,
the publisher thought it might be the same in Japan.
佐川急便の強力なバックアップを受けて作られたこの本、
全国３万人のドライバーから社内公募で選ばれた51人の写真だけでなく
「佐川急便のクラブ活動に綱引部がある」などのトリビアも掲載されています。
With strong support from Sagawa Express Co., Ltd.,
the collection not only contains pictures of 51 drivers
who were chosen among 30 thousand of its delivery
personel all over Japan, but also some trivia such
as “one of the non-work activities
Sagawa Express has is a tug of war”.
『佐川男子』を見て「この人の写真がもっと見たい」
「うちに来る子のほうが素敵よ」などの声が寄せられているそうです。
今後は宅配業者を見る奥様方の目が厳しくなるかもしれませんね。
The publiser has received some comments
from people who saw the collection saying
“I would like to see more pictures of this person!”,
“The guy who comes to my office/home is more attractive!
” The Sagawa guys may have to endure assessing
looks by many femal office workers and housewives.
